9 Upcoming Cars from GM Luxury Brands in 2022 ft. Cadillac, Buick and Hummer

For the reasons widely known, General Motors have been scaling down operations and postponing many of the new models until better times. Fortunately, 2022 appears to be the year when the American conglomerate will step on the gas pedal, since we are seeing a solid lineup of internal combustion and electric newcomers from all of the brands associated with GM. In this episode, we will focus on their premium divisions represented by Cadillac, Buick, and Hummer.
So subscribe to #AutomotiveTerritoryDailyNews to follow the latest developments in the car world and let’s start the engines.

#1 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a successor to the to the CTS V-Sport and is underpinned by the GM’s Alpha platform. The ingredients of its power cocktail are the hand built 6.2L V8 aided by a 1.7L Eaton supercharger.

#2 2022 Buick Enclave

2022 Buick Enclave gets a mid-life upgrade and boasts a new grille as well as revised LED headlights and taillights. As before, 310 horsepower are supplied by a 3.6L V6 mill that is paired with a 9-speed automatic and either front or all-wheel drive.

#3 2023 Hummer EV

The irony of Hummer’s fate puts a smile on my face, once the most gas guzzling model from General Motors, it is making a glorious comeback as the very first new generation electric vehicle from the conglomerate. Built at the repurposed Factory Zero in Hamtramck, Michigan.

#4 2023 Cadillac Lyriq

2023 Cadillac Lyriq marks the beginning of the GM’s new electrification strategy implementation. Though advertised as 2023 model, the Lyriq will be starting pre-orders this September, while first cars should arrive to their owners in 2022. For now, the only available modification is a RWD with 340 horses, 325 lb-ft and 300 miles of range.

#5 2022 Buick GL8 Avenir

The People’s Republic-only Buick GL8 Avenir brings more standard and optional features for the new model year, but the model’s key upgrade is its mild electrification.

#6 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is brought in motion by a new 3.6L twin-turbo V6 engine that more than doubles the output of the entry-level CT4. We are looking at 472 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, that can propel the car from 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds.

#7 2022 Buick Envision GS

Sharing underpinnings with the compact SUV Chevy Equinox, the all-new Envision offers the so-called Premium Economy levels of luxury. The new front grille is lower, wider and takes a more aggressive stance that is highlighted with the wing shaped LED headlamps.

#8 2023 Hummer EV SUV

Based on the same platform as the upcoming Hummer EV truck, the SUV expands passenger comforts and interior space. It has slightly downgraded specifications and will first arrive in its fully-loaded Edition 1 model.

#9 2022 GMC Yukon Denali

The new generation GMC Yukon debuted just this year, bringing new underpinnings, drivetrains, and most significantly an independent rear suspension, which ensures better handling and boosts the third-row legroom by nearly forty percent. The rumored 2022 changes are as follows – 6.2L V8 offered for AT4, new 12inch instrument cluster, and an optional Performance Black appearance package for the Denali trim.
